OFC 2016 - Data-rate figure of merit for physical layer in fixed-grid reconfigurable optical networks
Mattia Cantono will present the work of OptCom group in the field optical network analysis at the Optical Communication Conference in Anaheim, Los Angeles. Mattia will present his work during the session entitled "Impairment-Aware Networking" that will be held in room 304C of the Anaheim Convention Center in March 22nd. Here follows the abstract of the talk, that is entitled "Data-rate figure of merit for physical layer in fixed-grid reconfigurable optical networks":
We propose a Monte-Carlo method to establish the merit of physical layer in transparent optical networks as average bit-rate per lightpath at full load and consider two transmission techniques and impact of nonlinear fiber propagation.
