OFC 2019: A CLOSED-FORM NON-LINEARITY EGN-MODEL TO SUPPORT REAL-TIME NETWORK MANAGEMENT
At the Optical Fiber Communications Conference in San Diego, OFC 2019, Pierluigi Poggiolini will present a paper Monday, March 4th, 8:45 AM, Room 8, regarding a CISCO-sponsored research activity which has yielded a new fully closed-form fiber non-linearity GN/EGN-model formula that enables real-time physical-layer-awareness for optical network management and control. The new formula evaluates a full system in 5ms and has EGN-model-like accuracy.
