Germán V. Arévalo is a visiting researcher in the OptCom group working on the optimization models for next generation optical access networks.
Germán V. Arévalo received the Engineering degree in Electronics Engineering from Escuela Politécnica Nacional, Quito, Ecuador, in 2003; received the Master’s degree in Optical Communications and Photonic Technologies from Politècnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2004 and is pursuing his PhD degree on the field of optical communications in Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellín, Colombia. He is currently a researcher in GIETEC Research Group at Universidad Politécnica Salesiana in Ecuador. His current research interest is the study of the physical impairments and optimization models for next generation optical access networks.
